Shreveport Felon With a Firearm Arrested for Attempted Murder
On July 25th at 9:56 p.m., Shreveport Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting at the intersection of Gideon Street and Rentur Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. The Shreveport Fire Department promptly transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the victim is expected to survive.
The SPD Violent Crimes investigator responded to the scene to commence the investigation. Through their diligent efforts, on July 26th, the Shreveport Police Department arrested 40-year-old Junish Ford for his involvement in this case. Ford has been charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
