According to the recent notification from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, all drivers are advised that this Sunday, February 8, the outside (right) lane of the I-220 eastbound bridge over the Red River in Bossier Parish will be closed.

Thankfully, DOTD has elected to close this lane during a period when traffic is extremely reduced on the highly traveled I-220. The closure is scheduled from approximately 7:00 am to 3:00 pm this one day only and will allow DOTD crews to perform repairs to the bridge railing and clean the bridge.

Motorists are urged to drive with caution through the work zone, being mindful of crews and equipment on site.

Of course, with any project of this kind, all work will be performed "Weather Permitting", so any inclement weather could postpone, extend, or alter in other ways the scheduled work day/hours.
