All too often the only time school bus drivers are mentioned is when something horrific has occurred but today we want to mention just how awesome they are!  Ms. Suzy drives a bus for Bossier Parish.  She's done it for years and I thought about her job a couple of weeks ago and it left me in amazement.  Ask any kid (or parent) on Ms. Suzy's bus route and they know EXACTLY what time she pulls up EVERY day!  It might be 6:44am or 6:51am, but it NEVER varies more than 2 minutes.  Regardless of road construction, detours, kids running a little behind....all those variables, somehow she shows up at the same time.  Think about your own trip to work each morning.  One day there's a wreck on I-20 and you're calling to tell the boss you'll be a few minutes late.  Another morning finds you scrambling for something different to wear since the baby just ruined your "first choice" of clothes.  Yet, somehow, Ms. Suzy and bus drivers all over, show up at the same time.  They have the same problems...but somehow manage to work through them and never vary more than a couple minutes.  They deal with fights, kids with their own problems, wreckless drivers, you name it, and yet somehow, our kids are safe in their hands and make it to and from school on the same schedule every day.  So, for Ms. Suzy and every bus driver in all of Kiss Country, THANK YOU!  Sorry it took us so long to say that.
