Even while a huge swath of North Louisiana is still trying to dry out after as much as nine inches of rain over a two week period, we're about to get hit in the mouth with some stifling heat.

In the event you haven't seen the 10-day forecast from The Weather Channel, today's expected high, though on the hot side, is a somewhat tolerable 93, but looking beyond that, it pushes the "unbearable" limits.
Does Mother Nature know it's not even July yet? That heartless old hussy probably does and she really doesn't care.

While many of us are able to make a living with all the modern comforts like ice cold air conditioning, many in Louisiana are forced to brave the elements and get out there and sweat for their paycheck.
