I had a vested interest in attending the Haughton Middle School 7th Grade Honors Assembly this morning.  My son, Craig, is a member of the class.  What I didn't know was just how elite this class really is.  Nearly 70% of the class by my estimation...and this is a class of hundreds....had earned at least a 3.0 in the previous 9 weeks.  Amazing.  As they called out the names of the students who earned a minimum 3.0 to 3.40, nearly half the class rose to accept their award.  My camera would even begin to capture all the faces, so I did the best I could.

Next up were the students scoring 3.5 to 3.99.  This is where my "Big Mac", as I call him, was recognized and it was another LARGE group.

The next group included all the 4.0 students and with the amount of names called, any school would have been proud.  Congrats to all these kids and to Mrs. Susan Salter and her staff at Haughton Middle School for what could prove to be one of the better classes to have ever graced the hallways.
