Gary McCoy Does His Best Bob Costas Eye Infection Impression [Photo]

This morning, we talked about Bob Costas' crazy eye infection (which is pink eye, or Conjunctivitis) and how it was so distracting that NBC had to replace him with Matt Lauer. Then Gary decided to do his best impression of Costas.

According to an NBC press release, Costas said that the eye infection was impacting his ability to work, but remains hopeful that he will return to covering the Sochi Winter Olympics.

“As a practical matter, I simply couldn’t do my job because my eyes had become so blurry, watery and sensitive to light,” he said. “I’m hopeful the symptoms will improve in the next couple of days and I can return to the broadcast."

Of course, we really do wish Costas a speedy recovery.
