Garth Brooks Tickets on Re-sale Sites Reaching Over $1,700 Each

Well, they may not be Morgan Wallen Cajundome ticket prices but as Garth Brooks gets ready to call Baton Rouge this weekend, tickets to his show on the re-sale side are starting to eek their way up on price. We saw Morgan Wallen tickets go to over $1,000 the day they even went on sale. Although Garth Brooks is headed into a bigger arena, more seats can usually mean better pricing, I am quite shocked at some of the prices on the resale sites.

The show's ticket sales are being run out of Ticketmaster. The site does show that it has tickets still for sale but in the upper bowl area. Those upper-bowl tickets are showing an average of $87 dollars each. In my opinion, that's a deal to even get into the same area as Garth Brooks and see a show. Add on top of that, the show itself will be set on a "stage in the round". Meaning there will be no "behind the stage" seating. The entire stage will be, well, the stage.

The $87 average directly from Ticketmaster seems totally doable and not that bad. It's when you get into the ticket resale sites that things begin to get a bit pricey. Working in the concert world for many many years, I have seen a lot of ticket resale sites come and go, and most of them were sketchy and scammy. Personally, I wouldn't buy from a resale site, because you just never know if the tickets you buy will be legit or not. There are some "major" reseller sites out there, but I am still leary as to if I get there and if the tickets will actually be legit or not. The other problem is if I am buying the same tickets as other people. In that case, you better get into the doors first before the others get their tickets scanned, or you'll be out of luck.

Sites such as Tickets On Sale, Stub Hub, and Vivid Seats have to make their money. I totally understand that principle. However, when you compare the still available Ticketmaster seats to the ones on these second-hand sites, you then realize that you're certainly going to pay more. The same $87 dollar seats you can STILL buy on Ticketmaster are going for upwards of $180 dollars each! Down at the stage, they jump up to over $400. Granted, I am not exactly sure how much they were, to begin with, but that is a hefty jump. I did see a post on Facebook of someone selling their tickets for $360 each, but it did appear they were from one of the resale sites and not the legit Ticketmaster site. That being said, I also found 4 tickets in the 100 seating section selling for $1,745 each. That was the highest price I found on one resale site. There was another set of 4 going for $1,944 each on Stubhub in that exact same section.

Just be careful where you buy your tickets from. If at all possible use a legitimate ticket selling site, like Ticketmaster. I am not saying the resale sites are all bad, but I have seen my fair share of fake tickets showing up to concerts.
