This man was just on your ballot last November.

A little over a month ago, Bossier City's Ben Gibson was campaigning in our state attempting to unseat Congressman Mike Johnson. In the race for the 4th Congressional Seat in Louisiana, Gibson came in last, finishing in fourth place with just 6% of the vote.

Now, a little over a month later, Gibson is behind bars in his hometown on a $10,000 bond.

Ben Gibson was arrested this week and faces four counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles under the age of thirteen. According to ArkLaTex Homepage, Gibson is an active Airman at Barksdale.

The original announcement was made by Louisiana's Attorney General Jeff Landry, stating that Gibson was one of two men arrested on these charges by Louisiana's Cyber Crime Unit.

He says, "My office is committed to using every tool we have to protect Louisiana’s children.” He continued by saying, “We will continue to collaborate with our local, state, and federal partners to bring child predators to justice.”

The other man arrested has been identified as Jared Kutz, 30, also of Bossier City. He is facing two counts of the same charge.
