With it being so dry and our temperatures in the triple digits nearly every day,  nearly everything is at risk of burning.  And today it was Chili's Restaurant.   The story from our own James Stanley who does the Rowdy Ride Report at 5:30pm every afternoon.  The Bossier City Fire Department responded to a fire behind the Chili's restaurant in the 3000 block of East Texas Street just before 1:30 this afternoon. Restaurant management tells the fire department that patrons who were outside the restaurant noticed smoke coming from the rear of the building and notified employees who activated the restaurant's fire alarm. Restaurant personnel evacuated about 40 to 50 people from the restaurant by the time fire crews arrived. The first fire crews go on the scene at approximately 1:31 pm and found flames and heavy smoke coming from a detached storage shed behind the restaurant. Firefighters got the fire out within four minutes. The fire destroyed the storage shed and secondary fire and heat damaged was done to the exterior of the restaurant, but firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading into the restaurant itself. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
