Eric Church and Brantley Gilbert Help Gary Prove He’s “The Man Of This House”

Yesterday morning as we're continuing our quest to "Shake Every Hand In Kiss Country" I was in the parking lot of Brookshires in Haughton signing up everyone for tickets and backstage passes to meet Eric Church and Brantley Gilbert.  I was literally less than 5 miles from my own house; far from the Kiss Country studio, and it hit me!  Because of Kelly Newell (pictured above) I got to show Tracy Turner just who's boss.  We've only been partnered up as Turner and McCoy for less than 2 weeks and the stage has already been set.  Yeah, I'm sure that Kelly really showed up more for Eric and Brantley than me, BUT being dressed in Santa pajamas complete with sweatshirt and house shoes and taking the time out of a crazy morning, with total lack of regard for anyone else's opinion, just to come meet me MADE MY DAY.  Actually it made my year.  See, as the "guy" of the show, I've got to be able to show a little bravado...some machismo, and Kelly gave me just the dose of both I needed to be able to flaunt to Tracy that the old guy's still "got it".  Thank you Kelly and good luck in the Grand Prize Drawings that we'll do between 7 and 8 this morning.
