Entertainment this Morning with Gary and Bristol Wednesday, March 2

Six days a week, Gary and Bristol get up before the sun shines to bring you the latest from Nashville, New York City and Hollywood with Entertainment this Morning!

This story is so sad, but it’s been a source of inspiration for me to see their faith and strength in the face of end stage cancer. I’m talking about Joey and Rory Feek and their duo Joey + Rory. Throughout Joey’s battle with cancer, her husband Rory has blogged about their struggles and experiences. I think it’s been his way of dealing with his grief. According to Rory, Joey told him that she’s “ready to stop fighting.” Since then, he gathered the family together for their final goodbyes and she’s been asleep for days and her body is shutting down quickly. Her nurse says she’s down to her final days. Our prayers are with the Feeks, their family, friends and fans.

Sources are saying High School Musical 4 is in the works with a new cast but there might be cameos from the original cast members… Zac Efron, anyone? Yum!

You can’t say you were surprised by this! Blake Shelton has his own brand of vodka coming out and I’m pretty sure that’s what he’s drinking in his Starbucks cup on The Voice. It’s called Smithworks and it’s made from corn from Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma with water from Lake Fort Smith, Arkansas. It’s not available everywhere yet, but we’ll sure let you know when Mr. Thrifty gets his hands on it!

As you probably know, patriotism is important to us here in Kiss Country, that’s why we have the Kiss Class of the Day recite the Pledge of Allegiance six days a week at 6:45am. Well Granger Smith is a man after our heart! He’s going to hit all 13 of the original colonies and Washington D.C. during a two day tour and recite the Pledge. He says, "I hope folks will join me as thanks to those who defend our God-given rights."

The eye candy quotient will be a bit lower on the next season of Dancing with the Stars with Derek Hough sitting out… At least we still have Maks.

The Bachelor’s Ben Higgins says he’s engaged. Of course we don’t know to whom yet.

The new match ups for CMT Crossroads have been announced and you’re going to love these! The new season kicks off March 24^th with Jennifer Nettles and Cheap Trick. Some of the other pairings are Luke Bryan and Jason Derulo, Thomas Rhett and Nick Jonas and Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley with Matchbox 20’s Rob Thomas.
