Six days a week, Gary and Bristol get up before the sun shines to bring you the latest from Nashville, New York City and Hollywood with Entertainment this Morning!

You’ve got to love it when an artist uses their platform for good and that’s exactly what Kenny Chesney has done… He partnered with the Love Hope Strength Foundation’s Get on the List Campaign on his Big Revival Tour… the biggest tour of 2015! Fans at his shows could volunteer to be swabbed, then entered into the national bone marrow donor bank. In the end, 25 potential matches were identified through their efforts.

Because it seems like the stars go dormant for Christmas, here are some of the biggest stories we followed in 2015.

Back in May, Fox announced that the next season of American Idol would be their last. Ryan Seacrest will return alongside current judges Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban. Word has it that all of the past judges will be making an appearance … Yes, that means the original judges, including Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson, will be back in some capacity! The final 15th season kicks off January 6, 2016.

Late night TV had some big shake ups this year with David Letterman retiring and Jon Stewart leaving The Daily Show. Letterman was replaced by Stephen Colbert on The Late Show and Stewart was replaced by relative new comer Trevor Noah.

While we’re on the topic of late night TV, it was a big year for Jimmy Fallon who had to cancel a night of The Tonight Show after falling and almost ripping his finger off. A couple months later he cut up his other hand after falling at a party which started the rumors that he might have a drinking problem.

The teen world was shook to it’s very foundation when Zayn Malik quit One Direction back in March saying he wanted to be a normal 22-year-old, relax and have some privacy… even though he later admitted he didn’t like the music the group was making. Of course, One Direction continued with the other four members and they continue to stack their cash… Either way, they’ll be taking a break soon as well! Some say that break will take place after a rumored Super Bowl halftime performance…
