While everyone was watching to see how the winter weather would develop last night, there was a big show on… Maybe you’ve heard of it… The Oscars! And Louisiana’s own Tim McGraw stole the show in our humble opinion with his poignant performance honoring Glen Campbell. Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2011 and was moved into a memory care facility last year. Because he was unable to travel to LA for the show, the family handpicked Tim to fill-in in his absence. If you haven’t seen that yet, make sure you log on at MyKissCountry937.com

Some other notable performances included Tegan and Sara’s Everything is Awesome from the LEGO movie with The Lonely Island and Lady Gaga’s rendition of the Sound of Music. Who knew she was so talented… and could look so NORMAL! I just wish she would have stopped messing with her dress… It was really distracting.

Birdman won four Oscars last night:  Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, and Best Cinematography. Eddie Redmayne won Best Actor for The Theory of Everything and Julianne Moore won Best Actress for Still Alice.

Idina Menzel got her revenge on John Travolta for mangling her name at last year's Oscars . . . by introducing him as Glom Gazingo.  He said, "I deserve that", before proceeding to touch Idina's face for several uncomfortable seconds.

50 Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson and her mother Melanie Griffith easily gave the most awkward red carpet interview proving that Dakota probably wasn’t mature enough to read the 50 Shades of Grey books, much less play the lead and Melanie, well Melanie probably needs to lay off of the plastic surgery.

Finally, what was up with Neil Patrick Harris last night? He did an amazing job hosting the Oscars but what was up with him coming out in stage in his skivvies?!?! I realize he was spoofing the movie Birdman, but dang! The Oscars are getting soooo progressive!
