The Olympic closing ceremonies were last night in Rio and Team USA lead the medal count with a total of 121… the last time any country won more than that in 1988.
In other Olympic news, Ryan Lochte is apologizing for his ‘incident’ in Rio and he says he’s taking full responsibility. However, he still says, quote, "There was a gun pointed in our direction and we were demanded to give money." That’s his story and he’s sticking to it!
It wasn’t a good weekend at the box office. Ben-Hur had a $100 million budget and only made $11.4 it’s opening weekend leaving Suicide Squad to finish first for the third weekend in a row with $20.7 million.
He’s responsible for creating groups like the Backstreet Boys and ‘N Sync. Talking about Lou Pearlman. Yes, he introduced the world to synchronized dancing boy bands, but he was also shady and he died in prison this weekend at the age of 62.
Miranda Lambert got engaged over the weekend… but it wasn’t to her boyfriend Anderson East. It was to a little boy named Sebastian who got down on one knee with a ring at a meet and greet before Miranda opened for Kenny Chesney Saturday night. She told Sebastian he’d have to wait 25 years;)
