Everyone knew the former North Webster Knight and LSU Tiger Devin White was going to be a big time player in the NFL. When he was taken 5th overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, he was expected to become the face of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense. However, I don't think anyone expected him to do it in 9 games.

So far this season, White has racked up 69 tackles, an interception and forced 2 fumbles. And, on Sunday against the Jaguars, he scored the first points of his NFL career, returning a fumble 14 yards for a touchdown. You can watch the play below.

According to news reports in Tampa, Devin has quickly become a locker room leader and the face of the young Tampa Bay defense. And, many experts, believe White is the front runner for the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Whether he wins or not...who knows. But, there's no doubt that White is an electric factory of a human on and off the field. Not bad for a kid from Springhill.
