Chief Fred Rison, to most people he is known by “Chief” or “hand” Because he is the chief of Desoto Fire District 3 (stonewall). He is known by “hand” because that’s exactly what he will do to anyone and everyone in need is give them a hand. I have seen him on multiple occasions put everyone else’s needs and priorities above his own. He works every day and is always willing to answer the phone to help anyone day or night. To know Mr. Fred is to love Mr. Fred! On top of being a fire chief he is also a sheriff’s deputy for Desoto parish Sheriff’s office. Chief Fred exemplifies what it means to be a public servant , a great person and friend because soon as you meet him you have a friend for life. That’s why I believe he is the perfect candidate for the “caught in the act award”.
