Debbie Stanford Is This Week’s Recipient of Caught in the Act Award

Rachel Harvill is pretty sure that her Mom hung the moon. Well, if she didn't hang the moon, she held the ladder for the Good Lord while he hung it.

Rachel's mom is Debbie Stanford and Debbie is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Just take a look at Debbie's nomination letter that we received from Rachel, and you'll see just how easy she made it for the staff to choose Debbie for this week's award.

My mom is the most amazing person I know. She has overcome many struggles in her life, including losing both of her parents at a very young age. Although I know she faced many difficult times, she became a nurse where she helped people for over 10 years and built a beautiful life of her own. Throughout my life, I have watched her do amazing things. Whether it is buying Christmas gifts for families that can’t afford it, giving anything to people in need, Or volunteering where she sees necessary without wanting or taking any recognition this lady does it all. This past December, she was involved in an accident that left her with pretty nasty brain injuries. I always knew she was a special lady, but almost losing my best friend really made me realize how special of a woman she is. Even after the accident, she still continues to help and encourage people without complaining or giving up, even though she faces struggles daily from the injury. Raising 6 kids, and all of our friends as she always welcomes anyone, I really believe my mom deserves a little recognition and appreciation to let her know how special she is to me. I truly believe she is an awesome candidate for the caught in the act award!

Debbie Stanford, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
