Daily Funny – Hashtags with Jimmy Fallon

I remember when we used to call this symbol, #, the pound sign. Now, it's synonymous with "hashtags." If you are not a tweeter on Twitter, then you have no use for hashtags. But millions of people on twitter use them to make a comment or idea easily searchable.

Somewhere along the way, hashtags went from a symbol used for searching to an excuse to make veiled and sometimes obvious comments on people, places, ideas or things.

Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake did this skit on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" which demonstrates just how silly the use of hashtags have gotten.
