Josie Goodman Is Latest to be Caught in the Act

In Brooke's nomination letter about her Mom, Josie Goodman, we learned about the kindness, compassion and acts of service that Josie exhibits every single day. Whether it's family, friends or perfect strangers, Josie is quick to jump into action with everything from a prayer to a milkshake if that's what that person needs.

It's her heart that we are celebrating today as she's been named this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

Josie is my mom and she’s the most selfless person I know. She grew up with 9 siblings and has gone above and beyond for not only all of them but also her in-laws as well. My dad got sick in 2012 and she was basically his nurse every step of the way. She has helped so many people in so many ways. My uncle who’s kind of in a bad spot right now is living with her and she makes sure he’s taken care of and fed and that All his doctors appts and meds are kept up and that he has everything he needs. She also did this for another one of her brothers before he passed of a sickness. She not only raised my sister and I but also helped raise my cousin, her nephew when his mother needed help. She goes to all the nursing homes and prays not only with her relatives that are there but also strangers, cause she knows they have nobody. She will bring them a gift or a milkshake or whatever they ask for. She’s at every fundraiser there is lending a helping hand to whoever needs it. If you need her, a stranger or not, she is there. No question about it. I cannot count the times she has helped me, my kids and my sister and her kids out. They have never done without because of her. There is so much more I could say but we would be here all day long. People love to drive by her house or look forward to her Facebook post of all her beautiful decorations. She decorates for every single holiday and she goes all out. She takes pride in her looks and her house and the way she treats others. There’s no one else like her. She’s the best!!
