Cody Jinks Just Announced Exciting March Concert In Shreveport
And the country music concert scene in Shreveport and Bossier City just keeps getting better!
In just the next sixty days, country fans are in for concerts from Justin Moore, Shenandoah, Alabama, Parker McCollum, Tracy Lawrence and Clay Walker and now, there's another superstar headed our way!
Cody Jinks is headed for the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium on Friday, March 10 and he'll bring Josh Meloy and Erin Viancourt with him!
Some might think of the Texas native Jinks, the 2021 Country Breakout Awards Independent Artist of the Year, as a relative newcomer, as he didn't hit the mainstream charts until 2016 when his sixth album, "I'm Not the Devil" reached number four on the Billboard country charts.
But his music career began even earlier than that according to an article on allmusic.com which said,
Evoking classic styles from outlaw country to Southern rock, Cody Jinks shifted from a career in thrash metal to that of a successful country rebel, issuing several well-received indie releases in the early 2010s.
Thrash metal? Yes, Cody cut his entertainment teeth as lead singer of a thrash metal band called Unchecked Aggression and toured the country from 1998 to 2003. However, in 2004 the band broke up and Jinks stepped away from music for a year. But after that stint away from the spotlight, Jinks then began playing country, the actual music he grew up with, and another star was born.
Since then he's had smash hits on the Texas Country charts like "Wish You Were Here", "Must Be the Whiskey", "Hippies and Cowboys" and "Give It All You Can."
And he's bringing that country/rock sound he's become famous for to the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium on March 10.
