Recently, LSU Head Coach Ed Orgeron sat down with ESPN to break down the National Championship game between LSU and Clemson. Coach O, in typical Coach O fashion, pulled no punches when talking about the game.

Coach O gave Clemson's Trevor Lawrence high praise; saying that Lawrence is a gritty player that would make a phenomenal pass rusher. Orgeron also praised Clemson's defense saying their plays are brilliantly designed.

However, Coach O feels that this LSU team is a team of destiny. Aside from the talent, the game is essentially a home game and they need to use that wild New Orleans environment to their advantage. He praised Joe Burrow, saying that he's a gritty player that is willing to put the team on his back and drive them to win. He went on to say that running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is an 'angry' runner that can go through or around any player on the field.

Hear Coach O's take on the game, being a Louisiana native coaching the LSU Tigers and why this season has been so special. You can more exclusive College Sports content on ESPN+.
