A picture's worth a thousand words....sounds trite doesn't it.  Too cliche?  But tell me what else you'd feel if you were me now?  My 10 year old son, Colt, was really looking forward to church camp again this year.  The kids from First Baptist Haughton were headed to Louisiana College in Pineville and my "big boy" was making his first week long trip off by himself.  Julie and I were a little antsy about it, with him being the youngest of our 3 boys, but he wasn't scared at all.  "I'm ready to hang with my friends a while" is all he could say.  Then just a couple days before Colt was scheduled to leave, he started complaining of a stomach ache. After some really scary results from x-rays and ultra-sounds, it was almost a relief to find out that the swelling of his lymph nodes was just from some type of virus.  Made every parent I've ever known who got the really "bad news" in a moment like this flood through my mind and brought tears to my eyes.  "Just a virus"...."Thank You God"....but it meant that Colt would miss all of church camp.  He was devastated, but this morning, thanks to Ms. Theresa Smith and the kids, Colt was on Cloud 9 after receiving this picture.  If anyone ever wondered why I love my church so much....this picture's "worth a thousand words!!!"
