Limited Space! Register Now for Caddo Sheriff’s Summer Safety Camp
Caddo Parish school kids only have a little more than a week left before the summer break.

According to the Caddo Parish School Board's calendar for the 2025-26 school year, the last day for students to attend school is next week, on Thursday, May 21.
Obviously, that's great news for the kids, but scores of parents will find themselves scrambling to figure what to do with the kids. Send them to daycare? Possibly spend the summer days hanging out with relatives? Stay at home?
Hopefully, most of these parents have already set up the plan for the coming summer, but something they might want to incorporate into this summer's plan is the Caddo Sheriff's Summer Safety Camp.

With this camp, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office offers local kids the opportunity to stay active and learn valuable safety skills at Sheriff’s Safety Town.
Two camps will be offered this summer. The first of which, for children between the ages of 5 and 12, will be held from June 1-26. Then the second camp, for kids a little older, from ages 12-17, will be held July 6-31.
Both camps will run each weekday, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm at Sheriff’s Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Avenue in Shreveport.
Registration is free, but space is limited. Parents and guardians are encouraged to register early by calling (318) 681-0869.
Sheriff’s Safety Town continues to serve as a place where young people can learn, grow, and stay active while building positive relationships with deputies throughout the summer.
