Celebrate Easter Sunday With Sunrise Service at Hill Crest in Haughton
Hard to believe that Easter is less than a week away. It's this Sunday, April 17 and part of my family's Easter tradition for nearly twenty five years now, is to enjoy the Easter Sunrise Service each year at Hill Crest Memorial on Highway 80 in Haughton.
I'd love it if you and your family would join us!
If you have never attended, trust me, it will be one of the most inspiring mornings of your life as Christians of all denominations gather together to rejoice in the fact that the tomb is empty! Jesus has risen!
There is nothing so majestic as the sun rises over open amphitheater at Hill Crest and dawn begins to make its presence known, with wood ducks flying by and squirrels scampering around.
Each year a different church is selected as "host" church and they provide the services. This year, Dr. Gevan Spinney will deliver the message and Scotty Gibson and the First Baptist Haughton praise team will lead us in music.
Services are scheduled to begin at 6:30 a.m. but plan to get there by 6:00 am to allow yourself time for parking and to grab a doughnut and cup of complimentary coffee.
