It was actually Chase's wife Jennifer who told us of his heroism and how grateful she was that their kids have a role model like him to look up to.

He's certainly that person who can't allow a need to go unfilled and though he's shy about the attention, we are happy to name Chase this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award!

Check out the nomination letter we got from his wife and you'll understand.

Chase tries not to get caught doing good deeds because he doesn't like the recognition, but he definitely deserves it. He has such a big heart and can't turn a blind eye when he sees someone in need. Just recently he saw children walking to school on his way to work and they didn't have coats. He went that day and bought several coats to take to the school and was able to give the child he saw in need a coat that day along with his friends. This is just one example of the acts of kindness he does all the time. He has pulled over countless times to leave dog food for stray dogs that he would keep in his trunk, or pick up lost pets with collars and locate the owner to make sure they got home safely. Chase is an amazing husband and father, always showing our children how to help those less fortunate and teaching them to be thankful for the blessings in our lives. He is a role model they can look up to. Chase is a hard worker with incredible work ethic, always going above and beyond what is asked of him. That carries on to every aspect of his life, making him so worthy of this award and so much more!

Chase Hartley, because you've been 'Caught in the Act' the gang at Silver Star Smokehouse have a $100 Gift Certificate for you and the family to come have dinner and we're throwing in a Tubb's Extreme King Cake for your next Mardi Gras gathering!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Chase to let him know that he was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
