Grab your best jeans, dust off your hat and put your boots on, it's almost time for the 16th Annual Cass County Championship Rodeo.  Slated for this Friday and Saturday, April 22 and 23 at 8:00 pm nightly, the rodeo will be held at the Cass County Rodeo Grounds in Linden, Texas.

Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids 6 to 12.  Children 5 and under are free.

Each year the Cass County Championship Rodeo Association gives a graduating senior from each of the seven schools in Cass County a scholarship and these funds come from a portion of each ticket sold.

Some of the highlights of this year's rodeo includes:

  • Mutton Bustin' Nightly at 7:30 pm
    2 Critter Scrambles Nightly (farm animals are released in the arena and the kids keep what they catch!) - Goats, chickens, ducks, pigs, guineas, etc.
  • SCA Sanctioned Cass County Rodeo Steak Cook Off
    Saturday, April 23 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm
    Downtown on the Square during the Wildflower Trails Festival

  • Children's Area during Wildflower Trails sponsored by Cass County Championship Rodeo.  Saturday, April 23 from 10:00 am unti 4:30 pm.  Event will feature bounce houses, a giant slide and water balloon wars

  • Cody Cooke and the Bayou Outlaws Band - Sponsored by Cass County Championship Rodeo
