Minden's Terrific Pete Colvin Memorial Rodeo Coming In August

Luther Gerald “Pete” Colvin was a man's man. A real bonified cowboy. A member of First Baptist Sibley, Cattleman’s Association, the NRA, and was inducted into the Louisiana Rodeo Cowboy Association Hall of Fame.

Losing him on December 9, 2020 was an extremely tough blow to all who knew and loved him. And to continue his rodeo legacy, the Rockin' J Rodeo Company is holding the 4th Annual Pete Colvin Memorial Rodeo on Friday and Saturday, August 2 and 3 at the Jack Batton Arena at 415 Whitlock Street in Minden.

The event, sponsored by Carroway Pre-Owned, will begin at 8:00 pm each night and will feature hometown barrels each night.

Tickets are $10 for adults and kids 5 and under get in free!

Being a sanctioned Tri-State Rodeo Association event, this one will bring out the best cowboys and cowgirls for miles as they compete with the award winning stock from the Rockin' J Rodeo Company!
