It's the Springhill PRCA Rodeo at the Springhill Rodeo Arena.

And if you think they really know how to put on a rodeo in Springhill, you would be right. It's the oldest continuously running rodeo in the whole state of Louisiana!

Activities actually began this past weekend with the big barbecue competition, "Bulls Barrels and BBQ" but they've got events scheduled pretty much every night this week.

Tonight, Monday, September 16th, beginning at 7:00 pm they'll hold the annual Monday night team roping at the Springhill Rodeo Arena

Then tomorrow, Tuesday, September 17, beginning at 7:00 pm, it's the annual Tuesday night barrel race at the Springhill Rodeo Arena

On Wednesday, September 18, beginning at 6:30 pm, it's the Mutton Busting qualifier at the Springhill Rodeo Arena

Then this Thursday, September 19, they'll hold the Annual Rodeo Parade through downtown Springhill beginning at 5:30 pm at the Springhill Chamber of Commerce.

Also on Thursday, they'll hold the first performance of the rodeo beginning at 7:45 pm.  And since this event is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, it always brings out the best cowboys and livestock.

According to the event's website, springhillprcarodeo.com, the events continue Friday and Saturday nights, September 20 and 21 with more rodeo action, even a Kids Rodeo on Friday.

Of course they'll have lots of concessions available both nights with all the laughter of some of the best rodeo clowns in the business.

Thursday night is "Family Night" and tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for kids 6 to 12 and 5 and under get in free.

Friday and Saturday night tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for kids 6 to 12 and 5 and under get in free.
