Nacogdoches Gives Teen the Gift of Freedom: Off-Road Wheelchair Surprise
This past Saturday, an East Texas teenager was given the gift of freedom by the Nacogdoches Law Enforcement Foundation.

In the story, originally reported by kltv.com, we learn that in 2017 a horrific automobile accident left little 5-year-old Cason Snider paralyzed from the waist down.
That disability robbed the youngster of the freedoms he had previously enjoyed due to his wheelchair.
Now, at the age of 13, the Nacogdoches Law Enforcement Foundation decided they could do something to help young Cason get back out to enjoy the activities that the accident had stolen from him.
Cason's dad, Chris, is an officer with the Nacogdoches Police Department, and as a way to show gratitude to this fine officer and help in the struggles of Cason and the family, the organization was able to secure enough donations to provide Cason with an $18,000 "Terrain Hopper" all-terrain mobility wheelchair.
This new chair will afford young Cason the opportunity to get out with his friends and family to enjoy the great outdoors hiking, hunting and a lot more.
And not only did this organization come through with this amazing gift, through generous donations they were also able to provide Cason with a lifetime hunting and fishing license from The Texas Game Warden Association; he also got 10 years of Federal Duck Stamps; a Beretta shotgun and Whitetail Hunt w/Taxidermy; a $300 Academy gift card; an exotic hunting and fishing trip with taxidermy and a cargo trailer.
When kltv.com spoke with Cason's mother Terri, she had to hold back her tears of joy as she said, “It’s just going to give him access to the world in a whole new way. To see that he’ll be able to do the same things other kids are doing, go enjoy the beach, go enjoy hiking, enjoy the same places other people get to enjoy, is amazing."
