Candace Roussel is the owner and an instructor at Candace Dance Company and even though her mission is to bring people the joy of dance, she never lets a good opportunity to put a smile in their heart slip away.

While reading Candace's nomination letter from Cadie Franks, it was easy to see that Candace loves her students and that she has a genuine place in her heart for each and every one of them.

And that's why Candace is this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award. Just look at Cadie's letter and you'll see why!

I would like to nominate Candace Roussel for this weeks caught in the act award. My 4 year old daughter Dakota is battling cancer for the 2nd time and was so excited about her 2nd year of dance at Candace Dance Company. Candace has gone above and beyond to make sure Dakota had her very own first day of dance and many other special surprises. As busy as I know Candace is with the dance season just starting she has taken the time to bring some much needed joy to our family. I will never be able to thank Candace for all she has done for our family! Candace has a heart of gold and truly loves all of her kids. We love you Candace and we are blessed to have you in our lives!!

Candace Roussel, thank you for being an inspiration to us all and a big reason why this is the greatest place in America to live!
