Caddo Sheriff’s Office Provides Safe Spaces for Internet Purchases

While the internet is a great way to connect with people, it can some times be a dangerous place. Especially, when it comes to making online purchases. Users can find wonderful deals and interesting items on places like Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, but meeting up can be frightening. Every week it seems, someone gets robbed during one of these transactions.

Well, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is trying to make this process much, much safer. According to a recent post on the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Facebook page, several Sheriff's substations now have monitored safe spaces for internet meet ups. Below is what they have to say:

While these spots may not be convenient for everyone in the area, your safety is well worth driving out of the way for. Hopefully, more local law enforcement agencies follow Sheriff Prator's lead and make these types of things available.
