Bristol’s Babies: Meet Herby K

Each week, Bristol's Babies shines the spotlight on adoptable pets right here in northwest Louisiana and with your help, we hope to eventually find them all homes!

Don't you just love the name Herby K? He's a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix and he's at Pet Savers Shreveport waiting to meet you! Apparently, his owner moved and left him behind. Who does that? Especially with a cute little guy like this? People just burn me up sometimes! I'm fixed and up to date on my shots, but I do need to be treated for heartworms. Do you have the patience to help me gain my trust in people again? My adoption fee is $90.

I'm Herby K, a small male Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. I finally let them snap a picture of me so everyone could see how cute I am! I came in with my friend, Alfredo. Our owner moved away and left us behind. We lived alone in the woods for a while and people fed us. Then one day a nice man was able to catch us and bring us to Pet Savers. I am neutered, current on my vaccines and heartworm positive. I am also very fearful of new humans because I was abandoned and still don't trust people. I am looking for a patient forever family who can earn my trust and help me kill my heartworms by giving me my medicine.
