Bossier SWAT Team Makes an Arrest in a Homicide Case
The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office SWAT team has made multiple arrests centered around the murder of 31-year-old Caleb Pippenger of Benton.
Members of the Bossier SWAT unit executed a search warrant Monday afternoon in the 1300 block of Lampkin Street in Bossier City. Within 30 minutes they had taken 29-year-old Justin Sepulvado into custody on charges of First Degree Murder.
Authorities say Sepulvado murdered Pippenger back in March, in the front of his residence. Pippenger died from a single gunshot wound. Police say he was killed during a family get-together.
During the raid, Bossier SWAT found methamphetamine, smoking pipes, a stolen moped, and other drug paraphernalia. Sepulvado's residence was also within 1,000 feet of an Elementary school, and he is a convicted sex offender.
In addition to the murder charge, Sepulvado now also faces charges of Illegal Possession of Stolen Items, Possession of Schedule II (Methamphetamine), Possession of Schedule I (Marijuana), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Presence of a Sex Offender, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Warrant with Caddo Sheriff’s Office), and Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (Warrant with Probation & Parole).
While executing the warrants and searches, Bossier Police made two other arrests. 40-year-old Kerry St. Martin was arrested and charged with Illegal Possession of Stolen Items, Possession of Schedule II (Methamphetamine), Possession of Schedule I (Marijuana), and Resisting an Officer. Police also arrested 29-year-old Leah Meshell and charged her with Illegal Possession of Stolen Items, Possession of Schedule II (Methamphetamine), Possession of Schedule I (Marijuana), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All three were taken to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility. Sepulvado has his bond set at $525,000.
