2 Shreveport / Bossier Eateries Close After Positive COVID Tests
If you were hankering for some of finest Cajun food in the state, I've got some bad news for you: Bergeron's Boudin and Cajun Meats in Bossier City has closed. The Shreveport location is unaffected by this turn of events and will remain open. No date for reopening the Bossier City location has been announced.
The decision came after owners learned that one of the employees tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. According to the report from KTBS, the employee showed no symptoms (asymptomatic) and that this unnamed person was exposed to the virus at a "non-work related event."
Bergeron's is the second such closing over the weekend. CBS19 is reporting that Superior Grill also shut down over the weekend due to a employee testing positive for the virus. The restaurant has announced that they would reopen after a full weekend of thorough cleaning.
