The Taste of the Past: 25 Long-Gone Shreveport/Bossier Eateries We Still Crave
As it turns out, Shreveport/Bossier gets extremely nostalgic when it comes to our food.

What started as a simple quest for some good, old-fashioned, American food, quickly became one of the most viral posts we ever put on our Facebook page.
When we asked the question, "If you could bring back one closed Shreveport/Bossier restaurant, which one would it be?", we were amazed at the response. With nearly two thousand replies (and still growing) we decided it would be worth noting which restaurants were most frequently mentioned.
It was painfully obvious that a lot of today's restauranteurs and their latest spin on an all Mexican menu has left patrons desiring more dining options.

Not taking anything away from the great restaurants we have today, there just appears to be something missing. Of course, it could be argued that if these places were so good, what caused them to go out of business to begin with?
That's an argument we can have down the road, because right now, we just want to focus on those long-gone days when these restaurants defined dining throughout Shreveport and Bossier City.
As you look through these, just note the variety we had in those days. Not everything was of one type. It would appear that whatever your taste buds were yearning, there was an option.
