In an article posted to, we learn some truths about bikers. Our friends who enjoy the freedom of the open road, from the seat of a rumbling motorcycle.

They may give outsiders the impression of being tough-as-nails renegades, but many biker gangs are actually a lot more goodhearted and compassionate than people might initially assume.

It's the truth. While most really are tough as nails, lots of bikers will melt when it comes to kids. That's why it should come as no surprise to learn that bikers have organized yet another event to benefit kids. Teens battling addiction, specifically.

This Saturday, April 10, the group is hoping you'll join the fun of the "Run to the Cross 2021.”  It was organized to benefit the Minden Teen Challenge Family Center.

Things will begin at 8:00 am at Central Assembly of God in Haughton (The Church of the Cross).

Riders will then hit the road at 9:30 am as they make their way to the Teen Challenge facility in Minden. Riders will tour the facility and learn more about the group that provides Christian, faith-based residential care to young people and adults struggling with drug and alcohol abuse and addiction problems.

Riders will then return to the church in Haughton for lunch and relaxation. Cost is $20 per person with all proceeds to benefit Teen Challenge.
