The most epic night of shooting stars is coming up! The Perseid Meteor Shower is supposed to be one of the best according to NASA expert Bill Cooke. Space.com is the best place to get up to date meteor shower information make sure to check back with them before you head out to see the show in the sky. Expect to see 60-70 meteors per hour, we can even get lucky enough to catch up to 200 meteors an hour like we did in 2016 hopefully it's an "outburst year" again. August 11-13, 2018 are the nights that you should be staring at the sky according to Cooke.

"This year the moon will be near new moon, it will be a crescent, which means it will set before the Perseid show gets underway after midnight. The moon is very favorable for the Perseids this year, and that'll make the Perseids probably the best shower of 2018 for people who want to go out and view it." - Bill Cooke

We aren't saying that this is a perfect date night out there, but this comes pretty close! If you live in an area where there is a lot of light pollution make sure you plan to drive out to a cool spot to enjoy the show in the sky!
