A lot of people in south Louisiana think we don't know our way around Cajun cuisine up here in the Shreveport-Bossier City area, but they would be wrong! Not only can you find some amazing Cajun eats in private kitchens all over NWLA, but we also have some great Cajun restaurants as well!

With the cold snap, I know I'm dreaming of a big old pot of gumbo right now, and apparently, I'm not alone. A local Reddit user that goes by Markahm494 must be jonesing for some stick-to-your-ribs, warm you up Cajun goodness, too because they posted this question: 'Starting an argument... Who has the best Cajun food?' Off the top of my head, both Blind Tiger and Copeland's came to mind. And you can't forget about Herby K's or Orlandeaux's Cafe, either. But what do other people think? I decided to take a dive into the comments to see if I could find a new place to try out and I wasn't disappointed!

I haven't been to Crawdaddy's yet but I looked them up and they're easy to find on Mansfield Road in Shreveport.

Amen! You definitely have to include Bergeron's on the list of best Cajun food in the area. It's so good we've ordered our entire Thanksgiving meal from them before!

This is another place I've added to my list of restaurants to check out. And for the record, I don't think they care if you're purple, just as long as your money is green and you tip well.

One of my friends works next to Loosiana Seafood, so it's our go-to place for lunch dates. They make a mean cocktail, too!

I keep hearing about this place but had no clue where it was. Well, I finally looked it up, and it's in downtown Shreveport on Texas Street at McNeil across from the courthouse. I'm guessing it's pretty busy around lunch!

So, that begs the question. What's your go-to restaurant for Cajun food in the Shreveport-Bossier City area? I'd love to hear from you. Shoot me an email at erin.bristol@townsquaremedia.com or send me a message through the app!
