Hey fishermen, it's that time of year again! Saturday, January 23, get ready for Bayou Outdoor Supercenter to hold their In-House Boat Show and in conjunction will be a "Big Bass Tournament."

This tournament will be much like the previous January events that tournament anglers have come to love. Two man teams with a two fish limit and anglers can fish on any of ten different local lakes. Eligible lakes include Caddo Lake, Cross Lake, Lake Bistineau, Grand Bayou (Coushatta), Lake O' The Pines, Brandy Branch, Red River, Black Lake (Campti), Black Bayou (Hosston) or Toledo Bend.

Tournament Director Mike Echols says, "For years, The Boat Show Tournament kicked off the annual fishing season and Bayou Outdoor wants to keep that tradition going. This format allows you to choose a lake that suits your style of fishing, knowing your team only has to catch two good fish to win." He laughingly also added that he's put in his weather order for it to be sunny and 75 that day, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Entry fee is $200 per team. Entry forms are available now at the Bayou Outdoor Boat Store on East Texas in Bossier City.

Registration for the tournament will also be held at Bayou Outdoor on Friday, January 22, from 5:00 pm until 6:30pm with the Rules Meeting starting at 6:31 p.m. One member from each team must attend registration and the rules meeting.

The tournament weigh-in will also be held at the Bayou Outdoor Boat Store on Saturday, January 23. The public is certainly invited to come watch all the big fish and the crowning of the new "Boat Show Champions."
