As an avid bass angler, I've been fortunate enough to fish in scores of bass tournaments on most of our area lakes for the past 30+ years, and there's just nothing finer than the Bayou Outdoor Supercenter "Camus Electric BOSS Tournament Trail."  And I'm so excited that this year's circuit begins tomorrow, February 6 on Cross Lake in Shreveport.

It's a two-person four-tournament series with a two-day championship at the conclusion of the series.  Teams finishing in the Top 50 overall points and those fishing all four of the qualifying events are eligible for the championship that's divided into two separate brackets and the winning team in each bracket will receive a brand new Ranger bass boat.

Tournament Director, Mike Echols, is obviously excited about this year's event, stating, "After 10 years we have, what we believe is, one of the best Team Circuits that weekend anglers can ask for. Low entry fees, very high pay back and everything close enough that you never have to stay over night if you don’t want to."

Below is the schedule for the four qualifying events that are all held exclusively on local lakes and always the first Saturday of each month.

  • February 6 - Cross Lake - Weigh in at American Legion
  • March 6 - Toledo Bend - Weigh in at Converse Boat Ramp
  • April 3 - Caddo Lake - Weigh in at Cask Magic on Highway 1
  • May 1 - Lake Bistineau - Weigh in at Grice's

At the weigh in of the first tournament, one of the qualifying lakes will be randomly drawn as the site of the Championship tournament which is set for June 5th and 6th.

Entry forms are available now during regular business hours at Bayou Outdoor Supercenter on East Texas in Bossier City.
