In a new letter sent to Governor Edwards, Attorney General Jeff Landry is pushing for the re-opening of hair salons and barbershops. It comes after a meeting he had with representatives of the Louisiana Board of Cosmetology. The letter was sent earlier today and talks about the many ways these businesses can open safely. He notes that other business sectors have proven they could operate while mitigating the spread of COVID-19. The request comes one week after Landry pushed for churches to be re-opened. Those places of worship were permitted to hold outdoor services starting last weekend.
