The Atlantic Coast Conference has announced it will continue its partnership with the AdvoCare V100 Bowl through the 2019 season.

The nation’s 11th-oldest bowl game will have a six-year agreement with the ACC, which announced it is also renewing its partnership with the Military Bowl presented by Northrup Grumman and partnering with the new bowl game in Detroit, hosted by the Detroit Lions of the National Football League.

“The AdvoCare V100 Bowl has tremendous history and tradition as the nation’s 11th oldest bowl game,” ACC Commissioner John Swofford said. “We’re pleased to extend our partnership and appreciate the hospitality our teams and fans receive.”

The newly announced trio of bowls will be provided a team from the ACC mix following the selection of the ACC’s previously announced tie-ins with the Discover Orange Bowl – where the ACC’s champion, if not in the College Football Playoff, will play – Russell Athletic Bowl and Capital One Bowl, Hyundai Sun Bowl, Belk Bowl, Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl or taxslayer.com Gator Bowl, and the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.

“We are excited to have again reached agreement with the Atlantic Coast Conference to have one of their universities play in our bowl,” 2013 AdvoCare V100 Bowl Chairman John Hubbard said. “They continue to have top ranked programs in their conference year after year.”

The AdvoCare V100 Bowl is currently in its fourth year of a four-year agreement with the ACC.

The ACC will have 15 member institutions in its bowl lineup beginning in 2014, including Notre Dame. Throughout the bowl’s 38-year history, it has hosted nine teams that will be members of the ACC bowl lineup in 2014

The deal for the ACC’s opponent is still being finalized and will be announced in the near future.
