While four time World Champion Tuff Hedeman is lining up the rock stars of bull riding, the Centurylink Arena is undergoing a transformation to showcase some of the world’s most electrifying bull riding action during the 2015 Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport Tuff Hedeman Championship Bull Riding presented by Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, this Saturday, March 14, at 8 p.m.

Sanctioned by Championship Bull Riding (CBR) the event is the tenth stop on CBR’s Mahindra Road to Cheyenne Tour where the world’s top bull riders test their skills against dynamic four-legged animal athletes.

Immediately following the bull riding special guest Cody Cooke and the Bayou Outlaws will play us into the night with their classic outlaw country rockin’ sound.

Sage Kimzey, CBR and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Champion, who broke almost every PRCA record at the National Finals Rodeo last December, is scheduled to ride, as well as the number two ranked CBR cowboy, 2012 PRCA World Champion Cody Teel, who is a former Bossier City champion.  But if Cody Teel plans on moving up from number two to the number one position in the World Standings he will have to get past at least one veteran and one determined rookie, and two bull riders making their CBR debut.

With legions of fans and family cheering him on, Elm Grove, Louisiana native and 2013 CBR World Champion Cole Echols has a history of riding well at the Centurylink. Wyatt Rogers, the eighteen year old high school super star rookie who won over $43,000 at his first professional event in October, is riding slightly over 50% of the bulls he climbs on remains in the top ten standings since he debuted on the 2015 Road to Cheyenne Tour.

In addition to the 24 man roster, entering for the first time on special invitation from Tuff Hedeman are two bull riding brothers from Utah that have a very familiar last name.  Joe and Josh Frost, cousins of the late Lane Frost, the famed bull rider whose life was portrayed in the movie 8 Seconds, are making their first appearance at a Championship Bull Riding event.  Joe won rounds one and five at the National Finals Rodeo in December to finish second in the average and PRCA World Standings.

CBR has become known for its action-packed performances that keep fans on the edge of their seats. That is largely due to the influence of four-time world champion bull rider Tuff Hedeman who coordinates every element and attends to the smallest details. From having premier bulls matched up with all-star riders, to upbeat entertainment and enthusiastic fans, the Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport Tuff Hedeman Championship Bull Riding has grown second to none.

Setting this competition apart from other bull riding events is the tournament-style format. The event’s structure appeals to new spectators and established fans alike as riders attempt to ride eight seconds and advance to the next round. Competitors may ride as many as three bulls in one night. The Shootout   starts with 24 riders competing for the opportunity to move onto the semifinals, in which 12 riders will advance. The Semifinals’ top four competitors will proceed to a Shootout round for the chance to win the bulk of the $30,000 prize package.

Bringing their best to Bossier, the stock contractors and bull breeders will also be competing in the CBR Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge, where stock contractors enter three bulls during the first two rounds of competition. The owner whose bulls have the highest total score will receive $20,000 of a $50,000 purse.

In addition, the Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport Tuff Hedeman CBR offers bull riders the advantage to accumulate significant points needed to qualify for the CBR World Finals, scheduled for July 21-22 in Wyoming, which coincides with the historical Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration. The bull rider holding the top standing position at the completion of the World Finals will be crowned the 2014 CBR World Champion and receive a $100,000 bonus.

Tickets for the event are now on sale, beginning at $25 with discounts available for children and military. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call or see ticketmaster.com or the CBRbull.com websites.
