Okay gang, turn off the cell phones.  Well, at least while you're on the road tomorrow, let’s keep them turned off.  The National Safety Council is hosting the first "Great National Cell Off Day" tomorrow and they ask us all to turn off the cell phones while we’re on the road. An estimate from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states that 11% of drivers are using cell phones at any given time while on the road. Honestly, I bet that here in the Ark-la-tex the figures are even greater than that.  And cell phones, like any other distraction, exponentially, increase the risk of accidents. More than 2.2 million injuries resulted from vehicle crashes in 2008, not to mention thousands of fatalities.
