The New First Couple of Country Music: Miranda and Blake
Miranda Lambert, from the small East Texas town of Lindale and her superstar husband Blake S Shelton have become the new George and Tammy.
Lambert’s third album, Revolution, was released in September 2009. Five singles have been released from the album. Two number one hits from Revolution made the album basically a revolution in country music. “The House That Built Me,” was on top for four weeks in a row.”Heart Like Mine” was another widely successful tune from the same album. Lambert is a Grammy Award winner and has received many honors including accolades from the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Awards Association.
Lambert’s marriage to Blake Shelton is icing on the cake for a superstar couple. Shelton has had as much success musically as Lambert with his first three albums having been certified gold. Here’s hoping that these two beat the odds and stay together and make great music together.
