We recently told you the story of an elderly man who somehow slipped and fell through the toilet seat of a Port-A-Pottie and was stuck for over an hour with human waste up to his knees.  Not only is it one of the grossest things we could ever think of, it also happens to be one of the biggest fears of Gary's wife, Julie Number One.

She is absolutely terrified of using portable toilets because of her fear she might fall into that tank.  Gary's titled it, "PortaJohnAPhobia."  And yes, it's a weird fear.  There are a number of phobias that are actually pretty common like the fear of spiders, the fear of snakes, lots of people fear heights (including Gary), there's the fear of flying and of course, claustrophobia, which is the fear of confined places.

But some people fear things that are pretty far out there.  Gary's son Buddy fears clowns big time. That actually has the scientific name of Coulrophobia.  Some other truly "unique" fears include:

  • Ablutophobia: Fear of washing or bathing
  • Nebulaphobia: Fear of fog
  • Trichopathophobia: Fear of hair
  • Metrophobia: Fear of poetry
  • Ereuthophobia: Fear of the color red
  • Bibliophobia: Fear of books
  • Linonophobia: Fear of string

There are literally thousands of different and equally unique strange fears in this world and to the person affected by that fear, are as real as even the most common fears....like the fear of finding out that Gilbert Godfried is your real father.  Guess you'd call that one "SayItAin'tSobia."
