Santa Claus made his annual stop at Kiss Country Monday to start "Operation Santa Claus" as we ask for help in collecting toys for less fortunate kids of Shreveport and Bossier Parish along with the Shreveport Fire and Police Departments and the Bossier Sheriff's Department.
Our Shriners Hospital is more than just a life saving institution. It's a world wide ray of hope for kids of all races, origin and financial background and was the first in the Shriners health care system. Having a nephew who's spent countless days in Shriners, I can personally testify to how incredible this place really is. And you might remember, a couple of years ago it was in danger of closing because of funding. Well, several individuals and organizations stepped up to prevent this catastrophe and High Lifter and Applebees are among those. And they've teamed up again this year for "The High Lifter Shriners Ride".
