In case you just moved here, the only person in our great state as famous as a Robertson brother is our own gator hunter, Troy Landry! And he's back again this year on A&E's "Swamp People" with the season premiere next Thursday, February 14th at 8pm.

According to SportingNews.com the New Orleans Hornets NBA Basketball team will officially become the New Orleans Pelicans next season. The NBA's Board of Governors already has approved the name change, and, as had been reported, the Pelicans' team colors will be blue, red and gold.

The State Fair of Louisiana opens tomorrow, October 25, and odds are you probably have some incredible memories of the Fair. Looks like the drought we've experienced again this year is reeking havoc in Blanchard; and I'm sure Blanchard is just the first of many victims to come. As of now, the Blanchard Utility department is "requesting" that customers conserve water. At some point in the future, this "request" could become "mandate", so it's really a good idea to oblige the "request".
