Marjorie Lyons Playhouse has been a centerpiece of Centenary's Arts Program for over 50 years. But recent budget cuts have put the future of this amazing performance space at risk. That's why The Friends Of Marjorie Lyons Playhouse have put together a who's-who of Shreveport actors to stage an amazing production of "August: Osage County."

The next offering by Shreveport based theatre company Stage Center is a Pulitzer Prize winning musical that offers an intimate look into a family's life.

Stage Center, the theatre company who most recently featured "Disney's The Little Mermaid," is now bringing an American musical classic to the Shreveport Stage with Stephen Sondheim's "Into The Woods."

Stage Center opened their production of "Disney's The Little Mermaid" on Thursday night, and what a show it was. Of course, I'm a tad biased because I'm in the show, but from the audience's reaction and what I saw from the wings, it is well worth the price of admission.
