Blanchard Poke Salad Festival

The Blanchard Poke Salad Festival cranks up again at 4:30 this afternoon (May 8) with a sock hop and carnival rides running from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at the Festival Grounds in downtown Blanchard, LA. Tomorrow's events include the parade beginning at 10:00 am.

It's Blanchard Poke Salad Festival week and the carnival rides will run today (May 7) from 5-9:00 pm and through Saturday at the Festival Grounds in downtown Blanchard, LA.

It's Poke Salad Festival time in Blanchard!!!  The Carnival begins at 5:00 this evening at the Festival grounds and the parade will roll Saturday morning at 10.  Course, the buzz around town right now is the Poke Salad Festival Treasure Hunt and we've just received Clue #4.

The excitement is really starting to build for this week’s Poke Salad Festival in Blanchard.  The actual Poke Salad Carnival will begin tomorrow at 5:00 pm at the Festival Grounds but we’re now into the third day of the annual treasure hunt.

The 38th Annual Blanchard Poke Salad Festival was this weekend at the Blanchard Poke Salad Park. And it's all about peace, love and poke salad!

Two women, who work at Barksdale Federal Credit Union in Blanchard, have found Blanchard's Poke Salad Treasure. Neil Kalberg says Brittney Burt and Theresa Ryan will share the $1,500 after finding it with the fifth clue on day five Friday.
